- Autostore
The Autostore is where the daughter reels are stored and is the result of massive investments in the 90's.
Handling is done by a highly sophisticated, completely automatic plant: the gantry crane towering over the store is fitted with special suction heads which make contact with the rolls and eliminate the air from the contact surface (vacuum system).
This allows the rolls to be safely picked up and moved as directed by an intelligent software system of storage allocation, cutting out any waste of space. Maximum capacity is 5,5 tons.
The Autostore has proven itself to be a strategically important investment, enabling the company to optimise the order management and to fully meet the customers' requirements'. - Jumbostore
The Jumbostore is where the mother reels are stored. Given the sizes and weights involved, they need to be stored with special care before moving on to the winding machines and the finishing department. The Jumbostore is managed by a semi-automatic system able to allocate a maximum of 134 mother reels, about 2,000 tons of paper.
- Logistics Centre
The Logistics Centre is another important investment for a customer-oriented company like Cartiere del Garda.
Both the sheer size (22,000 m²) and the high efficiency level of the centre are a source of pride for the mill. The Centre is fitted with two wrapping machines and two cross-cutters capable of cutting even small quantities.
This important investment has increased flexibility, without affecting productivity, for an all-round improved service to the customer.
