ISO14001

The ISO 14001 certification is a voluntary act.
Being ISO 14001 certified means creating an Environmental Management System (EMS) in compliance with regulation UNI EN ISO 14001:2004. The Environmental Management System is the organizational structure that takes environmental aspects and impact into account during normal work procedures and in case of modifications. For this reason, Cartiere del Garda defined its environmental policy and periodically identifies the new objectives to attain.

Regulation UNI EN ISO 14001 is the international regulation drawn up by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), acknowledged by the European Community (EN) and by the Italian National Standards Body (UNI) that determines the guidelines for the protection of the environment.
The Environmental Management System must be implemented and maintained with a view to constantly improving the company's environmental performance. In order to attain the various objectives, environmental area managers have been appointed to insure that procedures are complied with and to take immediate action when needed, etc. The certification body of Cartiere del Garda decided to check whether the company is in line with the voluntary regulations ISO 14001 by means of six-monthly inspections based on a predefined audit plan. The company will thus be totally inspected in the three-year period of duration of the certificate. The certification is valid for three years and must be renewed.

Cartiere del Garda obtained the ISO 14001:1996 certification in December 2000, update in 2005 with the new ISO14001: 2004 regulation - last renewal in 2011.
